About

Fintech Week London is run by Fintech Fringe. Since launching in 2023, Fintech Fringe has become a key player in the UK fintech ecosystem: an always-on network that drives high-value connections between founders, investors and institutions.

Our story

Where Fintech Week London began

The name has heritage. The community never went away. Here’s how Fintech Week London and Fintech Fringe came together.

The people behind it

Together is always better

In September 2026 we ran our first Fintech Week London, and it was a success. Over 600 people, 100+ speakers and 400+ companies came through the doors at fabric, all pulled together in just three months. Holding it in one of the world’s most famous nightclubs certainly got people talking. The rooms were packed, The Great Debate drew a 200-strong crowd, and the feedback said it all: real conversations, real connections and no posturing.

That’s what happens when you collaborate rather than compete. It’s how we’ve always operated, and it’s how I got to know Raf De Kimpe, the previous CEO of Fintech Week London. We shared a belief that the ecosystem grows faster when it grows together, and 2026 proved it.

Now we’re building on that success. In 2027, Fintech Week London grows to five days and five nights across London, built around the future we want for finance. Together is better. That’s what this week is about.

2020 · THE IDEA

A gap in the market

Fintech Week London was founded after its founders noticed a gap: London’s fintech industry was booming, yet there was no flagship event truly built to serve it.

2021 · FIRST EDITION

Back in the room

A hybrid conference reconnecting a community that had spent over a year on screens: 180 speakers, 450+ in-person attendees across four London venues, 1,000+ online and 32 hours of livestreamed content.

2022 · FLAGSHIP

Two days, 900+ leaders

Fully in person, it grew into a two-day flagship conference for senior decision makers from fintechs, banks, investors, regulators and global media. Attendance up 300%, sponsors up 270%.

2023 · ENTER FINTECH FRINGE

An accelerator on steroids

Fintech Fringe launched at London Tech Week to build the UK’s go-to ecosystem for scaling fintechs, and was soon programming stages at Fintech Connect, Pay360 and Money20/20.
